Dear Beloved, Please Can You Explain The Difference Between Infatuation
And Love Because Most Of Us Don’t Seem To Know The Difference? Thank You!!!
ANSWER:
Let Me Start By Giving You The Oxford Definition Of Both
Words; INFATUATION Has Been Defined As “1. Inspire With Intense Usually
Transitory Fondness And Admiration. 2. Affect With Extreme Folly; While LOVE Has
Been Defined As “1. Deep Affection Or Fondness. 2. Admire; Greatly Cherish;
Delight In”.
From These
Dictionary Meanings, It’s Already Clear That
Infatuation Is Transitory (Short-Lived) And Also Extremely Foolish. When You
Are Infatuated With Someone, You Are Almost Obsessed With That Person; You See
Yourself Stupidly Misbehaving Around Him/Her; You Think Of Him/Her All The
Time, Create All Sorts Of Sexual Fantasies About That Person. The Bible Calls
This Feeling LUST Because It Is Negative In Nature.
On The Other Hand, Love Is A Deep Affection For Someone. It
Shows That You Greatly Cherish, Admire, And Delight In That Person. I Like The
Word “DEEP” Because Love Is Not A Shallow Feeling And Cannot Spring Up
Suddenly. The Bible Commends This Feeling Because Of Its Positive Nature And
Gave Us Its Characteristics In 1 Cor.13:4-7.
Infatuation
Comes Quickly And Fades Quickly Too But Love Builds Slowly And Lasts Long.
Remain Richly Blessed..
