The "O" in I Love You

“O” stands for “OPENHANDED”. When you say the words I Love You, are you aware that loving someone entails you spending on them? Spending does not mean only with money – though it’s a part of it – but spending your time, energy and your intellect in enriching the life/lives of your loved one(s).

Deut.15:11b says “Therefore, I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land”. We can see that this is a direct command from the Lord Almighty.

Are you stingy with your money, time, energy, intellect etc. and still say you love? Re-examine yourself in the light of the Word for our Lord Jesus never supported stinginess in any form because He told us that “It is more blessed to give than to receive”(Acts 20:35b).

Wishing you the best of the week filled with loads of God's blessings. Remain richly blessed as you spread the love and Word of God.

NO ONE CAN STOP YOUR LOVE

If you set out to love someone, no one can stop you from reaching your goal.
If your goal is to get him to love you back, he can decide not to love you. If your goal is to change her, she can resist your attempts to change. If your goal to please him, he can remain unpleased. If your goal is to control her, she can rebel against your control.
But no one can block your goal to give unconditional, Jesus-led love.
Others can reject your love, refuse your love, misunderstand your love, discount your love, spit on your love, ignore your love, impugn your love, but they cannot stop you from loving them.
Others can hold your love in scorn, crown your love with thorns, and nail your love to a cross of shame, but they cannot stop you from loving them.
Bono, from U2, once asked the question: “How do you dismantle an atomic bomb?” The answer, he said, was love.
Love presses through as “it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” and love “sustains all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7 NIV; Hebrews 1:3 HCSB).
The all-powerful God of love takes our fears and redeems them with his love, so we can move with the unstoppable, sustainable objective to love even those who seem impossible to love.
With Jesus loving through you, no one can stop your love.

The "Y" in I Love You

“Y” stands for “YEARN”. The dictionary defines ‘yearn’ as “..to be filled with longing or compassion or tenderness..” Do you positively yearn for your loved ones by trying to meet their needs?

Are you always filled with compassion and tenderness as Jesus was and still is for us? OR

Do you negatively yearn for your loved one(s) by wanting to suffocate them with your love and selfishly keeping them to yourself?

Psalm 116:5b tells us that our God is full of compassion therefore as His children, let us yearn positively for our loved one(s) by demonstrating our love for them.

Wishing you the best the week filled with God's blessings. Share God’s love to all. I love you but God loves you more and most..

The "E" in I Love You

“E” stands for “ENDURANCE”. When you say the words “I love you”, are you aware that endurance has a part to play in demonstrating that love? Are you so impatient and fed-up easily yet you say you love?

1Cor.13:7 tells us, among other virtues of love that “love endureth all things”. This means that if you’re still nagging, always criticizing others, flares up easily etc., then there’s a big question mark(?) at your declaration of love..

In psalm 136, we learnt that God’s love endureth forever. And His children, our love ought to be likewise. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to understand the true meaning of LOVE in Jesus’ name, amen!

Wishing you the best of St. Valentine’s Day. Spread and Share God’s love to all. I love you but God loves you more and most..

The "V" in I Love You

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We'll be treating the letter "v" this week. Remain blessed as you read and meditate on these messages even as we celebrate Valentine's day.

“V” stands for “VALUE”. How do you value the people you profess to love? Do you treat them less than they deserve and yet tell them “I love you”? Do you tell them the truth in love? How do people or the one you love value you?

The Bible in Prov. 16:13b says that “they value a man who speaks the truth”. How honest are you especially in your dealings with those you profess to love?

Before you make a declaration of the words “I love you” to someone, please check yourself in the light of these teachings because if God didn’t value us, He never would have loved us or send His son Jesus Christ to die for us.

Wishing you the best of the week filled with God's blessings and a happy St.Valentine's Day in advance..

The "O" in I Love You

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The letter we have for this week is "O". We pray that you'll be blessed as you take the time to read it and also share with others..

“O” stand for “OBEDIENCE” and the question to ask here is how obedient are you to your loved one(s) who you profess to love? True obedience lies not only in obeying those higher or above you in age but also in obeying those lower or below you in age. It also includes doing what you know is right even when you don’t feel like doing it regardless of who is giving you the instruction.

Remember, Christ became obedient to death, even death on a cross! (Phil.2:8) and it was for us, even when we least deserved it. People and those you profess to love are watching and will praise God for your obedience which accompanies your confession of the Gospel of Christ (2Cor.9:13).

Finally, we leave you with this verse to meditate on, from 2 John verse 6; “And this is love; that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love".

Wishing you the best of the week and a new month filled with the abundance of God's peace, love, grace, and mercy.

The "L" in I Love You

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This week is a continuation of the acronym of the words "I Love You". Be blessed as you read and share with others..

“L” stands for “LISTEN” and another expression for listen is “pay close attention to; give heed to”. How great a listener are you? Do you tell people you love them and yet when they are talking to you; your mind is somewhere else?

The Bible says that “let the wise listen and add to their learning” (Prov.1:5a) and Bro.James also warns us to be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19).

Jesus was a great listener while He lived and He still listens with "love" to our endless list of prayers today. If we’re imitators of Christ, then we have to honestly evaluate how attentive we are or how we listen to those we profess to love.

If you find yourself doing all the talking when discussing with your ‘loved’ one(s) than listening to them, then it’s time to check yourself.

Wishing you the best of the week filled with the blessings of our Lord Jesus. God loves you and so do I. God's grace..

The "I" in I Love You

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We’ll be sharing the acronym of “I LOVE YOU”. We ought to know the REAL meaning of the words “I Love You” before we utter them to anyone or those we’re fond of. This week, we’ll be starting with the first letter and that is ‘I’. Be blessed as you read on..

“I” stands for “INTEGRITY” and the dictionary defines integrity as “an undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting”. Are you a man/woman of Integrity? (Prov.10:9, 11:3).

When you tell your loved one(s) that you love them, is it with your whole heart and soul with nothing wanting? Can people hold you to your word?

The Bible tells us that “Righteousness guards the man of Integrity” (Prov.13:6) so do you tell someone you love them and yet cheat on them, lie to them, and/or withhold the truth from them?

Jesus Christ is a man of Integrity (Matt.22:16). People testified to that. As His followers, can the person/people you profess to love testify the same about you? Honestly examine yourself.

Wishing you the best of the week filled with God's love, grace, mercy and peace..
