THE ‘T’ IN RELA‘T’IONSHIP… {Take Time To Listen To Your Partner}..

Has It Ever Occurred To You That We Want Others To Listen To Everything We Have To Say But Find It Hard To Listen To Everything They Have To Say?  The Natural Way Of Life ‘Cos Self Sit On The Throne Of The Natural Man BUT We’re Spiritual Beings In Christ Jesus And God Sits On The Throne Of Our Hearts And As Such, We Must Cultivate To Listen To And Serve Others In Love.

One Of Such Selfless Services Is The Divine Ability To Listen To Our Partners Without
Breaking Their Flow Of Words Or Cutting Them Off Entirely. Remember Always To Do Unto Others As You Would Want Them To Do Unto You. If You Want The Person You’re Talking To, To Take You Serious, Then Take Others Serious When They’re Talking To You!

James 1:19 – “…Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”

Since You Will Feel Bad Pouring Your Heart To Someone Who Will Not Listen Attentively To You, Then You Ought To Know How Bad Your Partner Would Feel If You Listen Half-Heartedly Or Distractedly To Them While They’re Trying To Share Their Passion Or Life Issues With You.

Like I Said Earlier On The Second Post On This Relationship Series, It’s Really Not About You First Of All But God, Then Your Partner; So You Must Shift Your Own Issues To The Background And Concentrate On What Your Partner Is Saying First After Which You Can Now Bring Up Your Matters And Also Discuss With Him/Her.

Prov.18:13 – “He who answers before listening – that is his folly and his shame.”

If You’re Really Ready For A Godly Relationship, Then You Must Cultivate A Listening Ear By Asking It From God So As To Take In Every Word Spoken To You By Your Partner. In This Way, You’ll Daily Win Their Heart, Love, Respect And Admiration For You.
