If you love someone because you think he/she is
gorgeous, then it’s not love. It’s “Infatuation”.
If you love someone because you think that you
shouldn’t leave him/her because others think that you shouldn’t, then it’s not
love. It’s “Compromise”.
If you love someone because you think you cannot
live without his/her touch, then it’s not love. It’s “Lust”.
If you love someone because you’ve been
kissed by
him/her, then it’s not love. It’s “Inferiority complex”.
If you love someone because you cannot leave him/her
thinking you would hurt his/her feelings, then it’s not love. It’s “Charity”.
If you love someone because you share everything
with him/her, then it’s not love. It’s “Friendship”.
But if you feel the pain of the other person
more than him/her even when he/she is stable and you cry for him/her, then
that’s “LOVE”.
If you get attracted to other people but stay with
him/her without any regrets, then that’s “LOVE”.
If you let him/her go, knowing that he/she has to go
but doesn’t want to, then that’s “LOVE”.
And above all..
If you draw him/her to CHRIST and help yourselves
remain sure candidates of HEAVEN against all odds, then, that’s “PURE LOVE” which is worthy of emulation..
